Riverview Turnkey Park, San Jose, CA
ROMA prepared a plan for the redevelopment of a low-intensity office campus in North San Jose into a mixed-use residential community. The 32-acre site is strategically located in the heart of Silicon Valley, within a residential overlay zone intended to create a better jobs-housing balance, and a finer-grained pattern of pedestrian and transit-oriented mixed-use development. The planning of the site included consideration of adjacent properties that are also within the overlay zone, so that the build-out vision results in a cohesive and interconnected neighborhood. In its role as Master Plan Architects, ROMA collaborated with a design team comprised of three different housing architects and an engineering team to prepare the Planned Development Zoning and Planned Development Permit submittals. In addition, ROMA designed the adjacent 5.2 acre park and prepared a streetscape design for the first phase of the residential project.
